Upstate New York Republicans chose Dierdre Scozzafava as their candidate to run in New York’s 23th District…one of the safest GOP strongholds where a Dem has not won since the Civil War! Scozzafava was cruising to an easy victory over Bill Owens, but at the last minute national party wingnuts jumped in and replaced her with carpetbagger Doug Hoffman.
Why? Because Dierdre is not batshit crazy enough. She is a real conservative.
