Wurzelbacher also divulged that the McCain campaign had contacted him several days before the debate and asked him to appear at the Toledo rally. A campaign aide, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed that Wurzelbacher had been invited.

The Facts

1) Joe the Plumber is not a plumber. He does not have plumbers’ license in Ohio. 2) Joe divorced in 2006 and court records show that he earned $40,000. “Joe” owes $1,200 in back taxes.
With alimony and supporting a teenage son at home there is no way in hell that “Joe” can buy his plumbing company: gofor Joe and a real plumber who works out of a garage and makes about $100,000 a year. 3) Voter Registration lists no “Joe Wurzelbacher”…but shows a “Sam Wurzelbacher” at that same address. 5)WURZELBACHER? That name sounds familiar…Robert Wurzelbacher is the son-in-law of Charles Keating of Keating 5 scandal. Charlie and Bob went to prison for corruption. Robert Wurzelbacher is now out of prison and a big donor for the Republican Party.
A funny coincidence: Joe the Plumber lived in Arizona (McCain’s home state) from 1997-2000 at 1960 W. KEATING Ave in Mesa…named after— you guessed it— CHARLES KEATING, who swindled Americans out of $3,200,000,000 (with McCain’s support) in the 1980s saving and loan scandal.
No facts yet…but we will check out the connecion.
Smith…Jones…Wurzelbacher…such common names. Probably just a coincidence.
