Bush promised a 50-60 billion dollar war, and if it continues a couple years it is projected to go over half a trillion dollars.
He promised to give the Iraqi oil fields to the Iraqi people. The US does not have much oil and he wanted to spend half a trillion dollars to give oil to them.
He accused Sadaam of stealing from the food for oil program, Bush stole the whole program.
Bush promised he wanted democracy for Iraq.
The president of Iraq, elected by a majority asked for the American troops to leave. Bush decided he no longer wanted democracy.
Bush had ties to the Saudi family. It is recorded in the book, House of Bush, House of Saud. This is why after the 9-11 hijackers who were from Saudi Arabia attacked New York and the Pentagon, Bush accused Sadaam of supporting the attack and did not say one word to criticize the Saudi royal family. Some of the royal family had donated alot of money to set up the Taliban movement. It was similar in ideology to the Wahabi Islam that had for years beheaded, jailed, or exiled Arabs who converted to Christianity.
If Bush wanted oil for the US he should have built coal to liquids or oil shale projects.
His calls for a long war should be opposed, US involvment in the war should be ended quickly.
